Than Ma Yom Waterfall @Koh Chang, Thailand

A beautiful medium size waterfall which located on Koh Chang island, Trat

This is the best choice for visitors who wants to leave beaches and go out hiking. Than Ma Yom falls one of seven waterfalls on this island with good view seeing water falling thorough rocks and black granites where is surrounding with forest.  Spending times here will be a good idea, refreshing your day by cool water and very nice view. Moreover this place is important to Thais because it is a history place that three kings of Thailand went here such as Rama IV, Rama V, Rama IX

There are four levels in total, first level is not too high and had an important point front of puddle, it’s a written stone that signed by king of Thailand in the past (King Rama V) located on left side of first level.  Second level is next to the first level. These two level you can walk yourself to visit them but what if you want to go higher to the 3rd or 4th level, you will need to take a walk with national park’s staffs because there are more dangerous and difficult for travelers and it will be around 8 kilometers walk, for these reason you needs someone lead you there.

Since the falls located near by national park then they are open for visitors to stay over night  which means you can camping with you family moreover tents are available for hire. You will never find kind of this memories with your precious people to spending times together and see sunrises at this place.

How to get there?

From Dan Kaw pier go straight to east coast of island you will pass a hospital and then a village called “Ban Khlong Nonsi” pass a few kms then you will see Than Ma Yom National Park Protection Unit after that walk to inside around 400m.
